Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP)

Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) Fertilizer for Root and Early Growth

Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) is a granular fertilizer with 11-52-0 (11% N, 52% P₂O₅), made from phosphoric acid and ammonia, providing a highly water-soluble source of phosphorus and ammonium nitrogen for early crop development in grains, vegetables, and forages. Phosphorus promotes strong roots, energy transfer, and seed germination, while ammonium nitrogen resists leaching and enhances phosphorus uptake, leading to 10-20% yield boosts and better establishment in neutral to alkaline soils. Its low pH (around 4.5) improves nutrient availability without free ammonia release, making it safer for seedlings than DAP. Ideal for starter applications, it supports high-value crops like potatoes and corn.

Apply 200-400 lbs/acre banded near seeds or broadcast pre-plant, based on soil tests. Versatile for blends and fertigation, it aids microbial activity and soil structure for long-term fertility.
