Granular Gypsum
Granular Gypsum is a natural, sulfur-rich soil conditioner derived from calcium sulfate dihydrate, ideal for improving soil structure in clay-heavy or compacted soils. It helps break up dense soil particles, enhancing aeration, water infiltration, and root penetration without altering soil pH significantly. This product supplies essential calcium and sulfur, promoting stronger cell walls in plants and aiding in nutrient uptake, particularly for crops like peanuts, tomatoes, and alfalfa that require high calcium levels. By reducing soil salinity and preventing crusting, it minimizes erosion and improves drainage, leading to healthier root systems and increased yields. In organic farming, Granular Gypsum supports microbial activity, fostering a balanced ecosystem that sustains long-term soil fertility. It’s eco-friendly, non-toxic, and suitable for all crop types, including fruits, vegetables, and grains.
Apply 1-2 tons per acre broadcast or banded, incorporating into the top 6-8 inches of soil before planting. Regular use can correct sodium imbalances in sodic soils, making it invaluable for arid regions. Overall, it boosts plant resilience to drought and diseases while enhancing produce quality, such as firmer fruits and higher protein content in legumes.
